A gentle soul with a playful spirit and plenty of love left to give.
Personality & quirks
At 12 years old, Nala is a calm, sweet-natured girl who still enjoys bursts of fun—especially a game of fetch, which she plays with surprising skill and joy. While she may be reserved at first, Nala blossoms in familiar surroundings, especially when there’s a soft spot to rest and a tennis ball nearby. She prefers the outdoors and is most comfortable in a routine, though she has successfully stayed over at another dog’s home before.
Other pets & ideal home
Nala gets along well with other dogs and has shared her home with canine companions without issue. However, she’s not suited to homes with cats, as she tends to chase them. Her ideal environment would be calm and predictable, without young children or busy activity, and with patient humans who understand the quiet joy of older dogs. She’s not leash trained and can be anxious during fireworks or thunderstorms, so a secure, peaceful garden is a must.
What she needs
This gentle girl deserves a retirement full of comfort, kindness, and companionship. She's never been one for loud noise or chaos—just soft voices, familiar faces, and a safe place to call home. Due to her family's move to a retirement village where large dogs aren’t allowed, Nala is looking for her final forever home before the end of July.
