Hero is a loving, food-motivated boy with a playful heart and a fondness for attention.
He enjoys balls, snacks and affection, and will happily join in when someone wants to play. He knows some basic commands and has a lovely ability to wait for his food. He is house-trained and enjoys car rides, making him a familiar and affectionate companion who will thrive with patient, positive guidance.
Compatibility:
Hero is good with children and has no reported aggression towards them. He is not socialised with other dogs and has shown aggression towards other dogs, so he will need to be the only dog in his new home. He is also not suitable for a home with cats, having shown aggression towards them. His ideal family will understand these boundaries and help him feel secure.
Hero enjoys playing with a ball, especially when someone chases it, and he is very motivated by food and snacks. He knows basic cues including wait for food, paw, sit, move and come when called. He does not currently walk well on lead, so this is an area where his new family can continue building his skills. He is comfortable sleeping both indoors and outdoors.
Hero needs a loving, secure home where he can be the only pet and receive plenty of attention and companionship. His family should be prepared to manage his reactions to other dogs and cats responsibly, while continuing his training using calm, positive methods. He would enjoy a home where there is time for play, affection and gentle encouragement as he settles into his new routine.
Hero has been part of a family since he was a puppy, and his rehoming is due to a change in living circumstances rather than anything he has done wrong. He has so much love to offer and clearly enjoys being close to his people. With the right home, patience and understanding, Hero can begin a happy new chapter with a family who will cherish his playful personality and loving nature.
