Alex is a 12-year-old Labrador with a gentle heart, a wagging tail, and a deep love for swimming and companionship. After spending his whole life as a beloved family dog, he’s now found himself in kennels in Benoni, confused and longing for familiar comfort. Despite it all, Alex remains full of energy, affection, and trust.
Loves people, great with kids and other dogs.
Alex has lived happily with children and has shown no aggression toward people or animals. He’s dog-friendly, sweet-natured, and still has a zest for play and attention. While not leash- or housetrained, his enthusiastic, people-loving nature makes him a joy to be around and a lovely fit for a family home or quieter lifestyle with space to splash and snooze.
Storms frighten him—but his courage shines in every other way.
Like many dogs, Alex is fearful of thunderstorms and seeks comfort during those moments. He scratches at doors when afraid, hoping to be let close to his people. With kindness and reassurance, he will feel safe again in a stable, loving environment.
